Every great project starts with a spark of inspiration, a moment when a simple idea transforms into an ambitious goal. For us, that moment came during our final year of high school. My friends and I were eager to embark on a new project that would put our knowledge and skills to the ultimate test. We decided to channel our passion for engineering and coding into creating something tangible and exciting: a go-kart powered by an electric motor and microcontrollers.

Meet the Team

We are a group of three friends, each bringing a unique set of skills and interests to the table.

  • Reyab Saluja

  • David Daniluic

  • Alonso Portillo

Together, we form a team that is passionate about technology and eager to learn through hands-on experience.

Project Goals

  1. Practical Application of Knowledge: To apply our theoretical knowledge in a real-world project.

  2. Skill Development: To develop and refine our skills in engineering, coding, and project management.

  3. Impressive Showcase: To create an impressive project that could stand out in our academic and university applications.

We aimed to create a go-kart that not only works but also showcases our technical abilities and teamwork.

Brainstorming and Planning

The initial phase of our project involved extensive brainstorming and planning. We spent weeks considering various ideas, weighing the feasibility, learning potential, and overall excitement each project could offer. Some of the ideas we considered included:

  • Building a drone

  • Creating a home automation system

  • Developing a robotic arm

Ultimately, we decided on the Go-Kart project. It was the perfect blend of challenge and excitement, offering us a chance to learn about mechanical systems, electronics, and coding all at once.
